HI THERE.

I’m Patrick Eichhorn, a Senior UI/UX, Product & Graphic Designer with over 20 years of professional experience.

Over the years I’ve been creating beautiful and valuable experiences that leave a positive impact on people and businesses. Currently, I work as Senior Product Designer for Kaufland e-commerce, while living in Nuremberg.

When I first listened to the squeaky sounds of my computer-modem (actually it was not even mine, I borrowed it from a friend back in the days) logging into the world wide web and then seeing all the possibilities it provided, I was instantly hooked. That was over 23 years ago and that 14-year-old kid ran into the local bookstore the very next day and bought a book about HTML coding. But I also always had creative talent, loved to paint and build things. This love drove me directly into the hands of Photoshop and other design tools. So I started to create my first websites, built animations with Adobe Flash (yes, I’m that old), designed artworks, CD covers, posters and many things more. Good times…

As I realized how much I enjoyed this, I decided to go for a career in graphic design. And I’m in love with it ever since. Throughout the years I was working for agencies and various other companies, doing UI/UX design, web design, print design, branding, corporate design, logo designs, animation design, motion graphics, game design, content writing, frontend-coding, photography and many more things to challenge my creativity.

During my work at Rakuten, I specialized in UI/UX and product design and continued this path at real.digital. I love to tailor my designs to the needs of customers, backing up my work with data and analyze how the users behave. Creating thoughtful experiences with the help of A/B testing and finding solutions with creative problem-solving is what I do for living. And it is a field of work where you are never done learning.

To keep the creative juices flowing, I love traveling, which is always a huge source of inspiration for me and helps me to get new perspectives on the world and on its people. Or I jump on my motorcycle or mountain bike for a short ride and will definitely never miss a chance to go snowboarding or diving.
